Internship for College Grad

Hi Guys,

I kind of screwed the pooch and didn't get an internship in college because I thought the company I co-founded and managed at the time would be experience enough. It is an eCommerce site selling coin supplies with yearly revenue of $375K. I graduated in 2010 with a degree in business management and I now want to get into IM.

Is it possible to get an internship in IM if I graduated from college 3 years ago? All of the internships I found are for people in college. I am thinking about signing up for the CFA L1 exam in December, do you think that would help?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks.

In the same boat bro, only I didn't start a business...it sucks cause you feel like you've missed the boat since all the internships are targeted towards college students. If you're not stuck under bills then network like crazy for an unpaid internship. From what I've been told, CFA is a bit specific unless you know for sure you'll need one. MBA will make you a highly educated virgin(an expensive rookie) and is only really worth it if you go FT to a top program.

This is your problem. Don't apply; network.
