Investment Banking Fast Track Chances?
I have a friend who has a very high up position in a top investment bank. He says he may be able to fast track me for their summer 2023 internship. Is it still REALLY hard to get in? Or would you say your chances increase drastically. I am so desperate.

"fast track" lol. most processes have been done for months
you'd still want to network with people to get a sense of what it's like at the firm so if they ask you, you have an answer.
If the fast track is just straight to a first round/super day, it's still all up to you - you need to answer the technicals, why that bank, etc.
even though a lot of 2023 internships are done, I'd still say it's not too late

I think you’re wrong. The applications usually open in the autumn for the coming summer. So I have loads of time.
I'm going to take you're from the UK? not entirely sure what their process is, but coming from someone who's doing US processes, yes a lot of processes are done already - for 2023 summers. Accelerated/diversity had interviews and stuff going from jan - may, others will go from feb - sept/oct. Depends on if you're looking at BB or EB too.
