Is a Business Analyst back office?

I've got a final round interview for a Business Analyst with Capital One, and would imagine it does similar things to MBB, with not a fraction of the cred though. I see that everyone is saying Op Analyst is back office, would BA also be considered back office?

Calling people to make them pay sounds like a collector. Back office conjures up data entry imagines. Business analyst makes me think corporate finance at F500. Excel sheets, project rates of return, etc. Can you elaborate on the job description?

Honestly, if you like the position don't worry if it is technically back office or not. So many positions fall into the back office description it is hard to keep track.

The position description:

Business Analyst • Examine marketing channels and explore innovative business opportunities • Research and analyze demographics, products and business lines • Evaluate business results to identify improvement opportunities • Perform analysis and provide recommendations to maximize profitability

I will be going for a final round for Capital One in two months so I would be interested in knowing as well
