Is it possible for a non-American to land a job at a top firm?

Hello, fellow monkeys

I was wondering if I can land a job and/or an internship at a top firm (e.g. Goldman Sachs) despite being a Non-American.

I am an Egyptian and I plan on studying Business Administration in the American University here (AUC).

Also, which is a better major: Finance or Banking?

bro you can do anything if you know the right people. Read on how the Libyan Sovereign Wealth Fund's manager used his power to give GS business as a tool to help his nephew get a job at GS.

If you know the right people, religion, skin color, nationality barriers are a joke. In today's world it's all about who you know.

The point is, if you want to work with an American company they will need to prove that no American would be able to do your job.

IMO it is easier to apply to a local GS office and try to get send to the American office then (it is easier to change within the company, as I think those rules are not that strict in that case).

Might be wrong, but that's how I think it was

Yeah found some kind of a Visa which allows someone who has worked in an office of the company in another country for X years to work in the US, so it’s likely that this will be what’s happening.

Nope sorry, just speak some Arabic and have friends in Cairo. I have heard a few Americans mention the firm so it can't be a bad stepping stone for getting a summer analyst position as a junior if you can swing an internship with EFG as a freshman or sophomore.
