IS IT WORTH FOLLOWING WITH PROSPECTIVE INTERVIEWER?

Hi -- I had seen a posting come up at a PE firm and had reached out to a couple of people there: I had spoken to a senior alum from my school there, who's in a different investment team,  and another senior investment professional (let's call him X) in the team - in which the role had come up - but whose based in a different city.

Both conversations had gone well and person X had shared my resume with his team-mates, who are looking to hire. Before I had spoken to this person X, I had also tried to reach out to a colleague of his (whose a partner too and let's call him Y), but I hadn't heard back. However, a day or two after person X shared my resume with his teammates, person Y got back to me after 2 weeks of my initial response and this was his response:

Hi Me, Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay – I was off on vacation for a week and it’s been hectic as were finalizing a new platform investment for our group.  Thanks for the interest in the role – looks like you have an interesting background and would love to chat further on this.  The posting just closed – so we are in the process of reviewing applications and will reach out once we’ve had a chance to review and digest. Stay tuned and have a good weekend. Cheers, [Person Y]

I obviously responded, but It's been a month since then and I haven't heard back from the team for an interview. No first-round or anything. From the response I'd received from person Y, I thought I would be getting called for an interview. Does that not seem the case? Anyway, question is, how do I follow up?? Or do I follow up at all??
