Is Large MF out of Undergrad Still Possible for me?
I am interning at a small/mid-size mutual fund (~20B) in their research division this summer. I have started reaching out to the few alumni at my school that work at large mutual funds (I go to a non-target, so there aren't too many). I was just wondering what your opinions are on my prospects for transitioning to a larger mutual fund out of undergrad and if it is even possible given the current environment. If you think it is possible for me, what course of action should I take in addition to networking with people from those firms? Thanks for your help.
toesucker69, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Sometimes bots are smarter than humans anyways:
You're welcome.
Bump
so MF on this site usually means Mega Fund (Private Equity). I don’t see why you can’t transition to a blackrock or fidelity after your internship for full time. right now I know blackrock has a firmwide hiring freeze...but I don’t think that’s going to last until mid 2021 which is when you graduate.
Thanks for your input! I’ll edit the title I didnt’t know that
