Rejections invariably start with "We're sorry" or "Unfortunately" (after some fluffy positive sentence about how competitive the process was this year).

"For all the tribulations in our lives, for all the troubles that remain in the world, the decline of violence is an accomplishment we can savor, and an impetus to cherish the forces of civilization and enlightenment that made it possible."

Well, this was a follow up to an interview. It seemed a bit like "Thanks for applying and good luck elsewhere". He was the only person to interview me. This would be whether or not I go to superday.

I received a good luck response from one of my interviewers and it ended up being a guy who was pulling for me and helped me to get my full time position. However, with that said, another person who wished me good luck at a different super day ended up being a position I was rejected from but there was more than one interview. Therefore if it was the first round then I think it would be more of a good sign than a bad one.

Don't read too much into it. It's a neutral response (they can't really suggest you got the offer informally). I received the same response and got my full-time offer afterwards.
