It’s time.

All,

Graduations in a couple of weeks and a lot of us hit the desk not too long after.

For my fellow incoming first years, what are you doing to prep (for fun and for work)?

And for the vets, can you parallel what you did with what you wish you did?

Graduated early and have 6 months of deal experience on the people in my analyst class, should've taken a trip somewhere but w.e.

not really bro I'm staffed on a deal that's about to close before anyone has even hit the desk, I'm just ahead of the curve

If you have the time, do a trip with your friends. If you have decent savings, somewhere in europe or asia would be super cool. You can do a lot in Thailand without breaking the bank. If you're really bold, maybe South Africa or Australia?

If you're like me and graduated with limited savings, you could hit a few of the national parks (Yellowstone, Glacier, Canyonlands, etc.) with your good friends. I went out to hike the Grand Tetons with two of my best friends (drove across the country), stopping first in Denver to visit other friends. Did some absolute degen shit in Denver and then did the best hiking Ive ever done in my life in the Grand Tetons, and I highly recommend it. I did this right after my IBD internship junior year summer and still remember it fondly to this day.

Whatever you do, don't do nothing and just hang out. You can do a solid trip and still have enough of your summer to hit the bars with your friends and do normal stuff.
