Laid Off from Tech- Looking for a Job back in Finance
Hey all-
I have about 6 years of working experience, just about 5 of that is in FinTech as a Strategic Finance/ Business Development Manager. Before that I spent a year in Investment Banking at a large BB.
In Jan my company did cut backs, and I am finding it impossible to get another job. Typically I would move to FinTech again, however it is proving to be extremely difficult. I considered breaking back into Finance because that is where I have foundational knowledge, but many networking attempts and referrals fall short because they see 5 years of FinTech and immediately pass.
Anyone have any recommendations on roles / firms that might make sense to check out? It does not need to be IB- I would be open to many different roles in Finance just to start working again and rebuilding my career.
Thanks!
cold reach out to payments, fintech, software hybrid sell side research leads.
they'll be looking for associates and its a good segway back in.
Thanks this is a good move.
Definitely agree with this. You would have a solid background for an ER role
As long as it doesn't involve crypto it can't be the absolute worst.
