What's the point of this? It's for sure going to be all of them in all locations and most likely regular length and full pay since banks actually have had a full year to prep for this.

Because hosting an in person internship isn't as easy as just saying that it's going to be in person. There's a bunch of logistics behind the scenes that have to happen for an internship to even work in a regular year and I dont think banks are going to spend time/risk doing that when they have had last summer to realize how cheap hosting a virtual internship can be. They already have the necessary software and modules ready to do it again and with some kinks they can easily extend internships to being for the full 10 weeks. Also, what are they going to do, force everyone to come back into the office to help run the internship program? Highly doubt it.
