Location Lateral

Hey guys and gals, I hope you are all doing well. I am currently an an intern at a bank in a Northeast city, but hoping to work in NYC after school. (NYC is where I go to university now and will be graduating next spring). However, as I said, I was placed this summer in one of their offices in a different city. With the hopes of receiving a return offer after this summer, how are some ways I can better my chances on securing a spot in their NYC office for a full time role? Is this possible? Am I asking for too much? Am I thinking too far in advance? Any and all tips / advice will be valued and appreciated.

Thanks again!
