Looking for Advice
I'm a Master's of Accounting student at a good (not target) school. I have a near perfect GPA and good work experiences. I've been applying like a madman to anything I can find and have gotten a few first round MM interviews. Probably over 200 applications in last couple months. I've been networking with lots of alumni from my schools in the industry to try to gain advice on starting in IB. All the networking with IB professionals I'm doing tells me that Deal flow is awful and that I picked the worst time to apply. I am trying to decide which careers transition best into IB if I'm not able to land a spot this cycle. Right now I have a Big 4 audit offer but not sure if there are better options to shoot for. Is it that I'm an accounting student that is holding me back? Thanks for any advice!
