M Klein vs ft partners
Which would be better for a summer analyst role, if you had offers from both? Specifically looking to lateral to a BB after graduation, and then into PE.
Can’t find a ton about M Klein online. Thanks!

I thought M. Klein was disbanded.
Nah they recruited this yr
Did M Klein not get acquired by Suisse just one month before they went bust? From my understanding Klein's company was acquired and he was set to lead CS First Boston investment banking group. Aren't they all caught up inextricably in the CS-UBS mess?

To answer OP though, I think FT Partners sounds like a cleaner situation and is always a phenemenal bank that brings top rate assets to market and gets top rate pricing for them consistently. The caveat is you better like FinTech but I get the impression that as an Analyst there you could be pretty mobile if you wanted to shift to something more Techy.
Thanks for this informative response. Just worried because ft partners have had very low to no dealflow over the past year (not even sure whether it’ll stay afloat / how summer experience will be) while (according to info session at my school) m Klein has advised on 1.5T of transactions already?
That’s over his career lmao. 1.5T in a year is literally impossible.
Bro what? 1.5T lmfao
M. Klein is back as a standalone company and is advising on deals again—company is back to normal.
Can u speak to junior experience and exits
If it's the M Klein of old, then go with that. They had some crazy perks and work on highly complex international M&A. Experience will be unparalleled and yeah, sweaty as hell but not like FT isn't.
