Mentioning Winter PE Internship While Recruiting for IB SA Positions?

I have an upcoming gig in PE this winter. Is it a bad idea to mention that I will be doing that this winter in interviews for Summer 2022 IB SA positions? Firms are regional/boutique

I would say it is not always a great idea. Although it's a common understanding that people exit banking after a year or 2, mentioning an internship that is in one of the possible exit opportunities can make your interviewer question your commitment to the particular job you are interviewing for (got grilled on this when applying to a CB internship after mentioning an IB internship during my interview).

If it is not on your resume and they invited you to an interview anyways, then not mentioning it would be playing it safe.
