MFE and MSF programs worth the money (Cornell, CMU, MIT)

Have an undergrad degree in CS and have been working in tech. Have been considering an MFE or MSF to break into finance. Obviously trading is the most common exit from these programs, but I am curious if it is possible to score a traditional IB job out of these programs. Finance is always something I wanted to break into, but I discovered IB too late in my college career (senior year). From what I read MSFs have poorer placements than MFEs and aren't as much of a sure thing. Would anyone care to comment on top MFE programs and chances of breaking into traditional M&A? Specifically Cornell's MFE. They do 1 or two semesters in NYC which is attractive to me.

MIT and CU's programs are slightly better.

If you work in CS, you make relatively easy money compared to finance (in terms of pay/hours). Why do you want the transition?

I like my industry but I am not in love with it and I don't connect with a lot of my peers. I would've tried to recruit for IB after UG, except I discovered finance way too late (senior year). I also feel like the potential long term upside to a career in high finance heavily outweighs my current career trajectory unless my startup goes unicorn lol.
