Missed recruitment window - where to go from here?

Dear all

I am in a bit of a desperate situation:

I will graduate with a Master's degree in finance this summer with a decent GPA. Personal as well as problems in my family kept me from applying to positions in the last recruitment cycle for IB/AM last year. While I was able to more or less sort out and get over these issues, I now find myself in a spot where the application windows for analyst programs starting in half a year have closed.

I wanted to ask you what you guys would suggest is my best course of action now.

Trying to get an internship somewhere for 6-12 months and apply next year? Picking up a second degree? Or something else?

Help is very much appreciated.
