ML vs DB?
At the university I currently go to, the two most active recruiters are Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments; however, DB is new to the Jacksonville area, and are opening about 1000+ jobs here by the end of 2010 or 2011 I believe, and they will start recruiting more actively at my university (University of North Florida). I have been considered for a job by both Merrill and Fidelity before, but under a series of unfortunate events, my employment with either one has been delayed for the time being. Also, I have been working in finance for about four years now, started working in a commercial bank when I was 16 years old, and then moved to a "top dog" financial advisory firm where I've been working from. I will be attending the fall career expo that will have both ML and DB attending the gathering, and I am in a dilemma of whom one would suggest that I take special interest in. Note: I will be going for my CFA charter, since the Finance major at UNF will cover almost all of the lvl 1 exam, and then I plan on moving to Hong Kong after all my schooling is done. So I am guessing which one would be better to potentially move over seas with? FYI, I am very interested in becoming a research analyst on either side.
Thanks!
