MM IB

I, unfortunately, went down the college sports route at a LAC and now work at a corporate seed fund (am 28).

While the job is stimulating and there are areas for growth, I still feel like I missed out on the IB experience.

Am I falling prey to the "grass is greener" mentality or is IB experience (from a "non-prestigious" background) worth it?

I understand BB IB isn't an option, but MM IB seems within the realm of possibility?

It would add needed firepower to my resume and give me a few years to keep building a strong technical skillset + finance network.

EDIT: My interpersonal skills are subjectively strong (from sports through college), so I can see a career in IB as the job blends relationship management and numerical analysis. Stress doesn't affect me any longer, so the long hours, "toxicity", etc. doesn't bother me. If anything, it allows me to separate myself.

For context, I feel plenty qualified but know that people look down (as is a natural human tendency) on backgrounds like mine.

Valid point. I am also an athlete that recently graduated. I have internship experience in IB and will definitely consider your words.
