Moelis Case Study
Hi,
I have a case study (60 min prep + 30 min presentation) with Moelis London coming up end of the month. Any tips/advice? Any of you fellow monkeys been through this?
What can I expect? Does anyone know what the case study entails?
Thanks guys.

You're welcome.
With all of these case studies, whether it is from Moelis or other EB/BB, is to focus on the bigger picture and big pillars. Do not fret on formatting the graph or how the slide looks with colors, etc. 60 minute is extremely short as you need to digest tons of information + analyze + give certain recommendations. Focus on your analysis and what kind of recommendation / message you want to give in that 30 minutes. That is what the bankers are looking for.
Thanks for you answer.
About the big pillars, I was thinking about:
1/ Company profile (business overview, financials, geographical footprint, recent news, management/shareholders)
2/ Market and competitors
3/ Recommandations (bolt-on (with potential targets), IPO, sale(to financials or strategics))
Should I have another slide on mind?
Thanks!
Yea those are good ones but make sure to spend less time on 1 and 2 and more time on 3 doing more analysis + justification of your recommendation as essentially that is what bankers want to see.
