Need Advice for Recruiting - What Major??

Hello everyone!

I am a rising sophomore at a target school (non-diversity), with a goal to do IB at a BB or EB after graduation but kind of on a different path as I am studying engineering. I have until the end of next semester to decide what type of engineering I am going to do, currently I am studying chemical engineering but thinking of possibly switching to systems engineering, computer science, or bioengineering. Chemical engineering is pretty hard, and my GPA isn't great (3.3ish), but it is above average for my major at my school.

Will recruiters and interviewers recognize that my low GPA isn't that bad because it is coming from a very competitive major, or will it affect my chances of placing into a good BB or EB by a lot. Should I switch to an easier engineering major in order to get a better GPA, or does chemical engineering provide a strong differentiating factor that will help interviewers overlook my GPA? And do you think I should leave my GPA off my resume in order to pass initial screening rounds?

Let me know your thoughts on my major and GPA and my best options moving forward.

If you wanna do IB you will be recruiting in Spring 2023 in your sophomore year, so you should switch to the easiest engineering major you are interested in because your next semester GPA is the one which will make or break your IB recruitment cycle next year. It is really good that you are target school tho

Yeah, makes sense. But will it look better if I have a 3.3ish GPA in the most competitive major or a 3.5ish GPA in an engineering major that is less competitive?
