what’s the most important part of going into ib/pe.
coming from a target school with strong recruiting but also strong competition or coming from a state semitarget with a strong network in the industry.
Networking is part of recruiting. This is like asking what is more important, resume or recruiting
is networking with people that aren’t from your school helpful in any way?
Yes, of course. You might find that you have something in common with someone (a niche hobby, etc.) that leads to a connection that’s more deep than simply having attended the same university.
