Networking help

In small offices where there are approximately 20 people, I assume that they all know each-other well and talk about non-work related things. And probably, they say each-other things like "yesterday a kid contacted me and said that he wants to have a phone-call". Other one also says that "the same kid also contaced me and wanted to have a phone-call". In this situation, while I wanted to network with several people in small office, wouldn't those people perceive it as "a try to put foot on the door", and perceive it negatively or weird? Or they know that this is a part of a process and will perceive it a good sign thinking that I am taking this process seriously? Should I continue to reach out as many people as I can, or I should stick to one person?

Thanks for the help.

P.s. In place where I am from, networking is rarely used. (it wont change anything I guess, however just wanted to add this too)

In smaller offices it is likely you would want to speak to the right person, unsure if several in the same tiny office would be the right contact.
I.e. just the team lead or department head.

If that person doesn't respond contact someone else in the same team with a line like "..I previously reached out to Eric, but wasn't able to get hold of him... " or something like that.

Don’t socially force anything. If it feels weird, it probably is improper. One of the weird things that is actually kind of important in banking. Gotta have high social awareness generally
