Networking Help - Development program

Hey guys,

I have been lurking for a few days and have decided to post because some of you guys know what you are talking about because of experience.

Long story short I decided to get into the game late and don't have much relative experience besides work under a financial advisor to do some BS and thats the only experience I have. I am currently waiting to hear back for second rounds for The development program in BNY Mellon Pershing and UBS WM OPS, neither of which I am very interested in due to the limited growth potential plus I don't want to settle at this point.

I decided that my best bet is to look for internships this spring to bolster my resume. However I have no clue where to start with this off-cycle internship quest. I have emailed a few places in the city and alumnii but haven't received any responses. My grades are decent I have a 3.6 from a reputable state university in the tri-state area and a very short ride away from NYC.

What steps can I take in order to find opportunities for myself?

thanks for your help in advance.
