Next Steps

I’m a first generation immigrant in America coming from Ireland, I’ve lived in many countries/states in my life and I have just started to find what I enjoy doing. I’m currently still in high school, I had a poor Freshman and Sophomore year, hanging around the wrong people, but I drastically stepped up my game in my Junior and now current Senior year, I have dedicated myself to making it into PE, I know I possess all of the skills to achieve this dream, I co-founded a charity for pancreatic cancer which is doing well, we’ve had 2 events already ~10k raised at the moment and expected 2 more events for the moment and expect from ~30-50k in the coming future, as well as this I have been leading an initiative which was made possible by obtaining a grant to help those in foster homes. I have big ambitions and I want to go into any big PE firm as an analyst. I genuinely have an affinity and passion for the work but I am worried that it will not be recognized. My family are all hard workers and have worked in C list positions and legal/banking backgrounds. Nothing to the extent of private equity or investment banking so not many connections there. I want to go to a target school but I’m unsure whether I have enough to make it there, and even what target schools to look for. I need help knowing what I should do moving forward. I am looking for all the advice that could help me pursue this dream and achieve it.
