No return offer - what other fields to pursue?
It seems like investment banking is probably out at this point without a return offer. With all the layoffs and low return rate, there will probably be 1000’s of kids aiming for ~50 available positions at the major investment banks.
So, with the goal of eventually getting to the buy side, what other fields besides IB can we pursue in this environment? For example, I’ve heard big 4 audit is good.
Would personally certainly consider ‘non-major’ investment banks before big 4 audit. Don’t mean to disrespect a career in audit, but I don’t think you’re making it out into the buyside out of it.
