no work experience at target

Need some advice here - I go to a public target (umich, uva) and don't have any finance internships and am in my sophomore year. Preparing for technicals and all isn't the problem i can push through it but i do not have a single finance internship that i can talk about during recruitment. Is there anything I can do or are the odds i can actually get a SA position near impossible. i was leaning toward cs/med before i made a major shift toward finance/econ. academically, i have a 4.0 so its not as if i was just failing both sides of the ball game

Junior summer IB recruiting happens before you even do your sophomore summer internship. Just find something finance related, preferably something with a brand name. It’ll just be an “incoming” line on your resume. I didnt even have a sophomore job lined up and I got an EB offer because the timeline was so accelerated. Dont stress too much if you’re at a target. Just go to the info sessions and reach out to any friends/alum at banks you’re interested in
