Not sure what to say in cold emails to search funds
I am a current freshman at a top 20 school trying to get part time work at a search fund this fall. I've found a bunch, but don't know what to say in my cold emails to them. Should I straight up ask if they have any opportunities and attach a resume? Or should I ask them if they have time to talk more about their work first?

Start by telling them who you are, your qualifications and past experience etc.
Then mention that you want to talk about potential opportunities.
It is helpful if you can personalize it and show interest.
what useful things can you do for them? Not trying to be blunt, just curious and would also frame your outreach that way. I know a few folks running search funds right now and if I put myself in their shoes would be open to a cheap intern especially if they had some sort of tangible value.
I just want to ask if you got the search fund internship or not? If you did, how did you reach out to them?
