PE interview question responses sent to friends personal email
I asked a friend at my firm to send me some questions he got for a buy side interview. He sent me an email of his responses to the questions to my personal email. Turned out it was sent from his work email and it appears to have been blocked by compliance (I never received it). Im assuming the question list probably said confidential or something somewhere on the email.
Will this cause us any issues with our employment? Do you think this could get us fired or spoken to? Is this anything to worry about?
We obviously know we can't ever send any client data to non firm emails but would responses to buy side interview questions be a problem?
Probably fine. Not MNPI. Wait and see if they ask you, but I'd just say it's for personal reading only, unrelated to work, and you know it was even on his work computer. Very very unlikely this would have any real repercussions
