Preferred internship offer deadline before other internship's final interview (booked flight, hotel, etc)

As the title says, a job that I would prefer gave me a deadline to accept in advance of a final interview with a company that booked my flight, hotel, etc. Was wondering what the appropriate thing to do in this situation is, as I do not want to waste both me and the company's times, but feel very bad about wasting their resources.

Have you asked the first company for an extension? It's common practice to ask for a week or two to go through other interviews, even if you definitely want that offer

If I understand correctly, you already have an offer in hand from Company A and know you want to accept that no matter what happens with Company B? Just withdraw your name from Company B. This happens all the time. The flight/hotel they paid for are sunk costs (though they actually may be able to recoup some if you notify early) - no need to further waste their time or someone else's interview slot.
