Private Credit / Direct Lending Exit

Don’t know many people in the space but looking for some advice here. I think at some point I would like to exit to PC / DL. I’m a senior associate at a “bulge bracket” investment bank. Have a handful of solid credentials but not a GS caliber resume.

A few initial questions:

- What does the recruiting process look like?

- What level should I expect to come in at?

- What does comp look like at answer to above level?

- Anything I can do to better prepare myself? I’m not very involved when he gave Lev fin transactions, I’m mostly dealing with M&A.

- Are firms in the space open to senior associates or too expensive for them?

Thanks
