Project Management - Exit Options

Can anyone share a voice on other opportunities for PM's. My work experience has been the Military for a few years, Rail/Transport Engineering for a few years and now Project Manager in the financial services.

Education wise, I have an undergrad in Electrical Engineering (non target) and am studying at the moment for a part time masters in finance (target)

I'm interested in Infrastructure Finance for one of the big players so that i can leverage my technical background or MBB consulting.

Given that my background is a bit mixed and I'm a slightly older grad - Any firms that might be more receptive to this? Any ideas how I can position myself and start creating some opportunities?

I've heard cold calling on linkedin is something to use ...
