Recruiting for RX FT from a BB Coverage Group

I'm an incoming SA at a BB in their tech group. I was originally targeting restructuring groups but struck out during recruiting. How hard would it be to recruit for a restructuring group for FT from  a BB tech group? I just want to see if it'd be worth the effort to try because I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard without any prior RX experience.

I genuinely think the work is more interesting. I also have interest in potentially pursuing distressed investing and doing restructuring first would be an easier path towards that.

Actually in your same situation, interviewed at PJT but inexplicably didn't get it. I believe during the first years the transition is quite straightforward if you are in a BB, especially GS/MS/JPM

So you're also going to SA at a BB? How are you going to approach FT recruiting for RX? Unfortunately I'm not going tp GS/MS/JPM but to a respectable group at a mid-tier BB
