Resign before background check is complete?
Hi all, I have accepted a new job and the background check is ongoing. I have no concerns whatsoever with anything turning it over. I would love a little break between roles as the new job wants me to start asap (one of their hiring considerations). Would I be amiss to resign right now while the background check is ongoing? I got notification that the background check agency has completed their screening so it really is just on the new firm to confirm all good which could be anytime in the next two weeks.
