Things to drop:

1) Drop the program assistant and add your MS Wealth Management ASAP. You will get your best feedback once you post a finanlized version of your resume.

2) Drop your XP/Windows Vista/Windows7 and Ubuntu Linux. No one cares, because you clearly can use a computer. Unless your plan is to actually become a programmer at MSFT then it is a given that you can use a computer.

3) Change the computer section to just say skills and include some other programs you may be familiar with (Bloomberg, C++, SQL, SAS etc)

thanks for the tips void, i was going to take time out of my winter break and go to NYU and have my buddy let me in to use the bloomberg terminal to get a certification for it. i know i need to add in the MSSW position ASAP, but i have yet to start, I was supposed to start today actually but the system was down on tuesday due to hurricane sandy, so I wasnt processed in time to start. I will be starting next week.

Round both GPAs up. Psychologically, 3.5 and 3.7 look a lot better to people doing the initial screen, even if the two styles are mathematically equivalent

I had the intention to do so but my schools career center insisted on not rounding up from 3.65 to 3.7. Also for anyone else who has advice, where do you think I could go within the finance industry in the NYC area with my credentials?

Only listen to them for any jobs you apply to via your school's recruiting system (if any). If you have no intention of recruiting through them (as I and many other non-targets usually had/have had to do) then fuck 'em and round up anyway.
