Resume - H1B application

i have a question..

How important is a resume in an h1b application? Do you need to submit a resume when filing the h1b application?

The problem with my resume is that i have prior work exp there that i worked without legal work autho... And my employer is going to use that to apply my h1b for me...

I am scared that my h1b will get denied because of this. All of those work exp were internships btw...

Anyone knows or experienced this before?

Thanks

Yes, you do have to submit a resume as part of your H1B application. I'm not sure how closely they will scrutinize it. The fact that you had internships is only really a potential problem if these were paid internships, I think (since that is what the H1B is conceptually about, making sure only specialty workers with a specific skill set that is rare / unavailable among citizens are granted permission to be paid wages by U.S. companies - the H1B is essentially a legal tariff that limits foreign human capital competition for salaries). I wouldn't sweat it if I were you. There is little you can do at this point. Resubmitting the resume will just make you look suspicious.

Good luck.
