Rotational/Leadership Programs

Hey all,

I have been applying/interviewing/getting denied from jobs for the past few months and would like to have a general idea on what types of finance rotational/leadership programs are still available? I know it is a long shot, but I think it is worth asking.

Thank you

I interviewed for a bunch of those programs months ago and it looks like it's getting late in the season - I'd recommend looking for non-rotational entry-level positions, as they still seem to be hiring (at least judging by my school's job board).

What are your stats (GPA, school type, major, internships, etc.)? Also, what is your offer for and when does it expire? The forum will be able to help out a bit more if people can get a better idea of your situation.

Okay so the GPA is a bit on the low side but it seems like you've got some solid experience under your belt. Still, I'm pretty sure from my own experience that the top programs (i.e. GE FMP, J&J FLDP, etc) are finished recruiting for this year.

If you really want one of these positions, I'd try contacting any aumni/recruiters that you may know at F500's and let them know that you are interested in interviewing for the Jan 2013 / July 2013 leadership program classes. I know some of the larger F500's have been placing kids who interviewed this fall into both of those classes simply because of increased demand due to the shitty job market. Wouldn't be bad to have 6 months to a year off knowing you have a job!

I don't know if you've thought about or researched this idea yet, but you could find out how likely it would be that you could move from mid office to a leadership program.

So you take the offer (jobs are hard to come by these days), work your ass off to make the best impression, meet people who have contact with those leadership programs, and when the next rotation comes around you will be positioned to earn a spot.

Did you fly over my helmet?
