Seeking Guidance on Summer Internship Opportunities

Hello WSO Community,

I'm reaching out to gather some insights and advice on summer internship opportunities that would best suit my current situation and future ambitions, fair warning, there are a fair bit of factors within this.

A brief overview of my background: I've been interning at a search fund for the past 7 months, things are going nicely there and I'm gaining valuable experience from it. Prior to this, I spent a year as an investment analyst intern with Keller Williams (though I generally wouldn't see that as super compelling from a hiring managers perspective). Academically, I've maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA but am currently at a complete no-name college (I am in the process of applying to transfer to a target or semi-target come Sophomore year in Fall). Additionally, I possess native proficiency in French, though I'm uncertain if this could open specific opportunities in the PE/IB/VC sector.

Given this context, I'm experiencing a bit of paralysis in terms of where to focus my energy for a professional next step for this upcoming summer. My ultimate goal is to truly break into the PE/VC/IB industry, ideally (just for a clearer picture) within the ballpark of a Blackstone Private Equity Analyst. I'm seeking advice on what type of internships or opportunities I should focus on securing for the summer that would best position me for a successful career in this capacity.

I appreciate any guidance, experiences, or insights you can share, including how I might perhaps leverage my language skills in French. Thanks for your time and guidance guys.
