Sell Side Research Exit Help
Hi, I'm in my late 20s. Have worked at big 4 and done sell side research covering tech/software for several years now. I'm over research and typical exit opps don't excite me... hedge funds seem way too stressful and I have more of a long-term mindset while IR seems too boring. Think long only, PE, growth equity, VC, could all be a lot more interesting but obv it's really hard to break into those jobs (especially given I don't have banking experience and don't come from a top 20 undergrad program). Considering getting an MBA but don't love that option given I don't think i'd learn much and would be in a ton of debt. Any advice appreciated.
Does an MBA (at a top 10 school) make sense?
Does it make sense to try to lateral into banking (is it even possible without MBA first)?
Are there other interesting jobs I might be a good fit for without getting an MBA?
