To explain some more:
Having bipolar is definitely a hinderance to my ability to work sometimes, and I can think of numerous examples of it negatively affecting my school work. When I was applying for internships for summer 2023 (after my sophomore year), I always checked that box out of honesty, but I never got a reply from any of the firms I did it for. If I remember correctly, I didn't check it once and I received a response. Do firms just put it there to make themselves look like equal opportunity employers or does it actually have meaning? Should I continue to answer this question with honesty or should I avoid it so I don't seem like a liability to those who are reviewing my application. Any insight helps.
