Should I negotiate for higher salary?

I am an south east asian working in London. I took a big risk by coming to London in my late 20s trying to change my fortune. I had 1 unsuccessful year as an analyst on a gas prop desk then I relocated and got laid off. I have barely worked this entire year and now I have this offer in a financial services firm. I will get a job offer tomorrow and they are paying me 45K. Should I negotiate the salary? This salary is not enough for a 30 year old who has to pay 350 GBP as student loan repayment every month.

If I had to negotiate, then how should I talk to them? Any advice?
