Sick Day As An Intern - Do We Still Get Paid
As a Summer Analyst, if I get violently ill and take a day or half a day off, will I still get paid?
Getting Paid For Sick Days As An Intern
Interns have the same rights to sick days as regular employees and most likely will be paid for them. Keep in mind however that you are looking to get a full-time offer so you don’t want to abuse this benefit. Only use your sick days when you absolutely have to and be ready to provide a Doctor’s note if asked.

You should get paid for the day. That said, you DEFINITELY don't want to be taking a sick day for a cough, a cold, a sore throat, or any other BS or even anything remotely resembling BS. Pneumonia, fine, take a day, a lot of vomiting/flu, fine take 1 day - but if you run home for a cough, it will definitely not look good for you.
Remember, at the end of the day, if you can tough it out, then tough it out - you are, after all, pushing for a FT offer. It's not a big deal for you to take a day off, as long as it is a genuine illness - and a doozy. While you don't want to head into the office and get everyone else sick, if you are feeling like crap, but don't have much to show for it (vomit, fever, etc), you might as well come in, tough it out for a bit, and then, if you need to, leave early and go to the Dr or just to pass out with a bottle of medicine.

Probably. I ran into a similar experience at a now-defunct BB during my internship. I got sick my second week, but came into work anyways. I headed up to see the company doctor; he called the car service and said I should have never come into work. When the COMPANY DOCTOR is ORDERING you to go home, it's the COMPANY's problem that you can't work, not yours'. I offered to take the time off unpaid to my manager; he said it wasn't a big deal.
I'm going to spare you the 'you're weak', 'you're a pu**y', 'get ready to lose your FT offer' talk and just say, yes, you should get paid for that day.
If it's something fairly serious, I'm sure people will just tell you to go home anyway.

In all seriousness, if you're sick, you're sick. It's not a big deal- just try and get the company doctor to send you home the first couple of times. If it's a once or twice a year kinda thing, nobody is going to care. If you're out two or three times a quarter for the sniffles and minor allergies, people could assume you're a wimp- unless the company doctor sent you home a whole lot at first. Then they will realize you just get sick a lot.

Thanks everyone. I did get really REALLY sick and there was no way I could of functioned. I actually went to work really sick but got worse to the point where I couldn't stand up. when I reached the company and that's when I decided it made more sense to go back.
Our company doesn't have a doctor, so I just contacted my supervisor/manager who said it wasn't a big a deal and to come back when I'm healthy.
