Soon to be grad wondering about career options

Set to graduate this May from a decent B1G school (T50) with an econ major and data science minor. Set to graduate with a GPA of around 3.4 with little room for improvement.

Obviously 3.4 is pretty low, and I understand that for the time being, i’m definitely chalked out of certain paths (IB, PE, HF, MBB Consulting, very high level high finance jobs).

I’ve been considering these careers as good stepping stones into the financial world:

— Commercial / Corporate Banking at a regional bank or a large bank in a Tier 2/3 city (Charlotte, Cleveland, Houston, etc.) - Ops / deal finance / other non-trader roles at a commodity firm (super major, trading house, open to anything). - Investor Relations (admittedly I know quite little about this path, but i’d be interested to work at a PE firm as an IR interacting with investors and fundraising for future funds). — Growth (Sales + Marketing) at a well-backed and fast growing startup. — Operations at a holdco or PE portco

Wondering if anyone here works in these roles and if they have any insight on career progression, entry level pay, hours worked per week, stuff like that. Additionally, wondering if there are any other roles I should be considering based on this?

Another thing I should add: I’m interested in all roles (willing to take what I get of course), however, I would like to make a base salary of 80-100k in any of these roles with a sign on bonus or normal bonus included hopefully. Also looking to live in a central or south city (USA) that’s LCOL / MCOL (which could mean anything from Houston to Chicago to Kansas City).

You have a 3.4 from a T50 and you want to make $100K base starting out? Let me know how that works out.

Lots of hardos on here, so my gpa obviously looks bad, but I have a resume to make up for it

I graduated with a 3.15 from a T75 in the Big Ten and make $100k all in. It's not implausible.
