Starting side business
I’m at a very nice UMM PE shop and hours aren’t bad right now, so I’ve decided to build a side business, given I also know how to code.
Along the way, I realize that I have almost totally lost interest in my main PE job — making slides, making charts, looking at data, and talking to management has become incredibly boring.
I really enjoy the process of building. Have about a year left in the PE contract. Think I will pursue entrepreneurship afterwards, by applying to a startup accelerator.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Someone’s got capacity
… best of luck though. Let me know when you’re raising the angel round. I’m in.
Awesome story and congrats on the realization. Just an FYI - I’d be wary of the accelerator route. Outside of the most well-known, a large portion are a waste of time. Coming from someone that took part in one before going into PE
