Starting to get discouraged with the job hunting process...
Hey guys, wanted to get your guys' thoughts on the job market right now. I am currently trying to pivot into IB as an experienced hire, and understand it was hot last year and did receive calls for IB roles. However, I didn't have a year of experience accumulated so I didn't go as hard with recruiting. Now I've been recruiting for a few months now, I am getting very worried that the job market is cooling down and I am accumulating quite a few nos at this point, even with getting to these final rounds.
I have M&A DD experience and have tried to network with bankers, I just don't know if I missed the hiring craze on this or need to settle with basically any boutique bank out there just for IB experience. I really hope that's not the case cuz I got to final rounds with solid MMs and BBs so it'll def be a big ego swallow to do.
bump?
