Study Abroad Question - B's in my abroad classes?
I am currently studying abroad for the semester and my credits will transfer but the grades will not affect my GPA (School decision because it's not a program run by my college). However, the grades I recieve will be on my transcript.
Will it reflect badly on me when employers review my transcript if I have B's in my abroad classes.
I was hoping to kinda slack off, do bare minimum, not attend all the classes so I can travel a lot...and party.
If your GPA is good enough to get you in I highly doubt a couple of B's abroad will hurt you in any significant way. You can and definitely should live it up while abroad.
You should be fine, but I wouldn't slack off such that your grades are way below your norm (i.e. if you get A's, you should probably not get any worse than a B). I studied abroad and though my grades didn't count towards my GPA, it was the best semester I had grade-wise and was a definite talking point during my interviews.
