Switch to Financial Advisory from FP&A analyst

Hello everyone, Hope you guys are doing well.

I really need your career advice for my current situation. I am currently a FP&A analyst for an IT company, previously I gain some experiences in audit and controlling too. I have a Master in Finance and currently work on CFA exam. I am really want to move to Financial advisory (M&A, Valuation, Finance Strategy consultant), Equity Research analyst. However, because of my irrelevant working experience, i got rejected constantly. I tried to networking but people refuse to refer since my working experience is not relevant - I understand. I am plan to study more about Financial modelling & improve my coding skills/ Excel skills. Is the anyone used to in my situation and successfully breakthrough to these above-listed jobs? I am so desperate to move and really need a direction, I tried a lot and work on every possible things but not get it.

Thanks a lot and have a nice day everyone!
