Text or email?

I have been interviewing with a firm for some time. I most recently had a call with their COO, followed by actually meeting up with him at a sporting event on Saturday where we had about an hour long casual conversation. He told me they were going to have a meeting Monday (yesterday) and then he wanted me to meet face to face with another partner. He is notoriously bad at emailing. Should I follow up towards the end of the week (if I hear nothing..) via text or email? We have already texted when confirming the meet up at the sporting event.
