the head of M&A replied to my email not sure what to do?
The situation is fairly simple: I've been actively seeking full-time opportunities for clear reasons and previously reached out to a specific individual twice without going into details. After completing my internship, I followed up, taking a broad approach to emailing, but still personalizing each message. To my surprise, the person who responded is the Head of M&A/Global Coverage for a top 4 M&A advisor in their premier group. While I've spoken to many high-ranking individuals, this response was unexpected, and I'm unsure how to approach the conversation with him. I recognize the importance of maintaining professionalism, so any guidance on how to proceed would be appreciated.
If your emails read anything like your posts, you're going to fumble it. Also:

Yes, you do. If you send an email that’s bad enough (e.g., wrong name, laughably bad grammar), word will spread about you at that bank.
