To IB or Not to IB at an MM Bank
I have an offer from Tier 2 BB (BofA, Citi, Wells Fargo) in their S&T for SA 2024. I'm currently interviewing for SMBC's IB SA 2024. I'd like to do PE/PC or Corp-Fin long-term as a career. Should I do IB at SMBC if I get it or do S&T at BB and lateral into IB? BB historically has a higher FT return offer rate than MM like SMBC. To provide context, I'm a junior from a shit non-target that no one knows about. So I need to get that return offer for full-time. Thank you in advance for your advice.
do IB unless you're ok with S&T for 2 years potentially and restarting as an1, conservative scenario
