Top HF vs PE Summer?

Hope I could get some help from this forum on my internship decision for this upcoming summer (2022). I'm currently a junior at a target school, and have offers for this summer from a very well-known SM fund ($10B+ AUM) with great performance and a PE firm that isn't as well known, but has a very strong team and strong performance.

The likelihood of converting both of these internships is fairly low, mainly because neither of these funds hire directly out of undergrad. My main concern is going into recruiting in my senior year, I'm wondering which will set me up better for equity investing roles. I know PE is looked upon favorably by some funds, and obviously directly doing equity investing at a SM is a no brainer for a junior summer.

The question might seem quite stupid at first since the obvious choice is the HF role if I'm interested in equity investing, but essentially the PE firm is offering me almost 4x what the HF is offering me for the summer. The learning experience at the HF will be great I'm sure and as will the network it opens up, so maybe I'm looking for external validation to validate my own thoughts, but is it worth pursuing the HF internship essentially for little more than free this summer?
